How to join table cells

Sometimes we will need to combine two or more different cells.For that we will use the <td></td> tag and the attribute 'colspan', to join horizontal cells or 'rowspan' for the vertical ones.
<td colspan="2"></td>.By changing the "2" to a wished number you can define how many cells you want to be joined.
